Many students in the world cannot pursue education because they cannot afford the institution’s fees, books, hostels, etc. Despite the fact of being a worthy student, many students cannot study further because they cannot afford the expenses of higher education. So, in Haryana for that type of student Haryana government has launched a scholarship. This scholarship scheme is for backward castes under Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, our constitution’s architect.

Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhattar Sanshodhit Yojna started by the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward classes department of the Haryana Government. With this scholarship’s help, the students of backward classes are allowed to fulfill their higher education. Students below the poverty line and are economically backward can avail of this scholarship. 

The students can receive Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Haryana based on their merit. The main reason behind this scheme is to uplift the students that belong to the ST category. So that they can study their higher education, they can stand out in the world with their caliber. This scholarship gives benefits to the students from 11th to post-graduation.

Details of DR. B. R. Ambedkar Scholarship Haryana:

• Class 11/Diploma/Certificate courses (1st year) INR 8,000
• 1st year of Graduation which includes Arts/ Commerce/ Science discipline/ all Diploma/Certificate courses (1st year) INR 8,000

Engineering & other technical or vocational courses  

• INR 9,000
• Medical & allied courses INR 10,000
• 1st year of Postgraduation which includes Arts/ Commerce/ Science discipline INR 9,000          

Engineering & other technical or vocational courses  

• INR 11,000
• Medical & allied courses INR 12,000

Eligibility criteria for Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Haryana:

• This scholarship is only for the people who are residents of Haryana.
• The minimum cut off score for rural areas is 60%.
• The minimum cut off score for urban areas is 65%.
• The students should pursue a normal mode of education to avail of this scholarship.
• The students who are part of government and non-government schools, colleges, institutes, and universities can avail of this scholarship.
• The students should also have their caste certificate, i.e., of SC OR OBC.
• The family income for the candidate should not exceed 4 Lakhs per annum. 
• The children who are part of government schools affiliated with the Haryana board can also apply for this scholarship.

How to apply for Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Haryana:

Online:

• Visit the official site to apply for this scholarship.
• If you are using this scholarship for the first time, the student must first create an account. After creating an account, students should fill in the application form.
• While filling in the application form, make sure to carry all the necessary documents like identity cards.
• After filling in the correct and required fields of the application, click submit.

Offline:

• Download the application form on the official website.
• Fill in the required details and attest to the necessary documents. Submit the filled form to the District Welfare Officer.

Documents required for Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Haryana:

• Caste certificate.
• Bank account details,
• Identity card.
• Graduation certificate.
• Haryana domicile certificate.
• Intermediate certificate.

Reasons for rejection:

• He or she did not upload the documents properly.
• If the year of Graduation is wrong.
• A bonafide certificate.
• If the student does not upload a caste certificate, income certificate, etc.

Frequently faced doubts:

1. Suppose the student who received this scholarship now and is going to pursue an education in medicine will continue to receive this scholarship. If a student is studying in another state, also they will receive a scholarship of Rs.12000.
2. This scholarship is for the residents of Haryana. IF the students are pursuing medicine in other states, then they have an exception to receive the scholarship.
3. Any student from government and non-government schools in Haryana can avail of this scholarship.
4. The form, once filled in, cannot be edited. In case if you want to edit any further, then the student can contact the authority.
