The government of West Bengal has taken the initiative to support the daily wages of employees. The Prochesta Prokolpo scheme is a project set up by the West Bengal government for supporting the unorganized employees financially. This project can provide financial aid of Rs.1000 for all jobless daily wages workers of the state.

The main aim of the Prochesta scheme is to assist jobless laborers during the pandemic situation. This project will provide financial assistance to laborers working for daily wages.
Perks of Prochesta Prokolpo Scheme

- All laborers working in emergency services can avail special leave after their work.
- The scheme will reduce the essential attendance of private employees by 5%.
- The project will provide States Emergency Relief Fund to help people during the pandemic situation.
- The project will offer a one-time relief fund of INR 1000 for all daily wage workers.

Eligibility for Applying the Prochesta Scheme
All daily wage workers can avail of the Prochesta financial assistance. Candidates should fulfill the following eligibility criteria for applying for this scheme.
- The applicant should be residents of West Bengal.
- He/She should be the only earner of the family.
- The applicant should not be availing of any of the social schemes of the state.
- No additional source should be available for the applicant’s family.
How to Apply For Prochesta Prokolpo Scheme
Workers can submit the filled-in application in person to the Office of the district magistrate or the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. You can obtain the application from the official website of the service. Following are the procedure necessary to fill in and submit the application for the scheme.
Step 1: Get the application form from the Office of the District magistrate or the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
Step 2: Fill in your personal information along with voter id, Aadhar, and ration card number.
Step 3: Furnish your contact details like address, zip code, and mobile number.
Step 4: Provide your bank credentials in the form.
Step 5: Attest the declaration after ensuring the correctness of the details.

Prochesta Scheme Mobile Application
You can avail and use the Prochesta Scheme through your Android mobile. You will be able to download the Prochesta Prokolpo mobile app from the official West Bengal government website. You can acquire and use the app with the following steps.
Step 1: Access the West Bengal official website. https://wb.gov.in/
Step 2: Locate and select the Prochesta Prokolpo Scheme from the main menu.
Step 3: Choose the download option.
Step 4: Select the “Download the Android App” from the download page.
Sanctioning Authority
For Rural Area: Your application will be approved by the district magistrate with the aid of BDO in a nonurban area.
For Urban Area: Prochesta scheme application will be authorized by Sub Divisional Officer in municipal areas.
For the KMC area: For residents of Kolkata, the city commissioner of KMC is responsible for the scheme approval.
Fund Transfer
- After the approval, the details will be sent to the nodal department.
- The Nodal department will process your Prochesta scheme payment.
The office will transfer the amount to the bank account of the receiver.
